CNC Machinist / Wood Machinist – $42 – $48 / hr

A unique opportunity has become available for an experienced CNC Operator / Wood Machinist to join our client’s production team in Yatala. This is a hands-on role working with precision CNC and edge banding machinery in a fast-paced joinery factory.

Responsibilities:

·         Operating CNC machinery, Beam Saws and Edge Banders for accurate joinery cutting

·         Reading and interpreting joinery drawings and cutting lists

·         Unloading and organising orders

·         Safely operating a forklift to move sheets and materials through the factory

·         Working with timbers, laminates, and veneers

·         Following safety and quality procedures at all times

·         Supporting the factory team with general production flow

Skills & Experience

·         Previous experience as a CNC Operator or Wood Machinist in joinery or manufacturing

·         Strong CNC machining skills

·         Edge banding experience highly regarded

·         Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

·         Forklift licence essential

·         High attention to detail and commitment to quality work

·         Reliable, proactive, and a strong team player
