Lifting & Safety Technician- Permanent Position

  Join a well-established, Australian-owned business at the forefront of safety and lifting solutions! We’re on the lookout for a hands-on, proactive Field Service Technician to carry out inspection, testing, and certification of a wide range of material handling, lifting, and safety equipment.

  This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day, thrives on working both in the workshop and out in the field, and takes pride in delivering high-quality service to clients.

   

  🔧 What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Conducting hydra jaw pull tests, force measurements, and weight testing of hoists, winches, and lifting equipment
  • Using digital inspection software (CORE) to record test results
  • Performing inspections, repairs, tagging, and certifications on client equipment
  • Manufacturing and assembling equipment including chain slings, hoists, shackles, and rigging gear
  • Providing excellent customer service and support both on-site and over the phone
  • Travelling to client sites for pickups, inspections, and repairs

   

  ✅ What You’ll Need:

  • C-Class Licence
  • Forklift Licence (LF) or willingness to obtain
  • Working Safely at Heights Certificate
  • Dogman / Basic Rigger and EWP tickets (advantageous)
  • Minimum 12 months of experience in a similar field-based or mechanical role
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to use tablets for field reporting
  • Strong understanding of lifting and safety equipment, plus hands-on mechanical aptitude

  • Bending, twisting, and standing for long periods
  • Working in both workshop and field environments
