Maintenance Fitter – $50.00 / hr

We’re currently seeking an experienced Trade Qualified Maintenance Fitter to join our client’s growing manufacturing team based in Geebung. This is an excellent opportunity to secure an ongoing position with a well-established business that values safety, reliability, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on production machinery and equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults to minimise downtime
• Service, repair and maintain plant and manufacturing equipment
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades and improvement projects
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Trade qualification as a Maintenance Fitter or similar mechanical trade with relevant maintenance experience
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment (plastics industry experience highly regarded)
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with automation systems is advantageous
• High Risk Forklift Licence
• Knowledge of permit-to-work systems and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Restricted Electrical Licence (desirable but not essential)
