- We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Trades Assistant to join our client’s manufacturing plant. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong workshop background who enjoys hands-on work and supporting maintenance and production teams.
The successful candidate will be reliable, mechanically minded and confident using a range of hand and power tools.
About the Role
You will be responsible for assisting the maintenance team and tradespeople with general workshop and manufacturing support, including:
- Assisting qualified tradespeople with maintenance and repair tasks
- Using a variety of hand and power tools
- Assisting with maintenance and production tasks as required
- Working safely and following all workplace procedures
- Working both independently and as part of a team
- Maintaining a high level of attention to detail
About You
To be considered for this position, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Previous workshop experience
- Welding knowledge or hands-on welding experience – mandatory
- Experience assisting tradespeople or maintenance teams
- Current Forklift Licence – essential
- Ability to use hand and power tools confidently
- Strong work ethic and a proactive approach
What’s on Offer?
- $36.00 per hour casual rate
- 8:00am – 4:00pm Monday to Thursday
- 6:00am – 2:00pm Friday
- Opportunity to go permanent
- Some on-call or weekend work may be required; however this is extremely infrequent
- Immediate opportunity for the right candidate
