We are seeking an experienced Trade Assistant / Production Worker to join a busy manufacturing operation based in Pinkenba. This is a hands-on role working within a production environment manufacturing wear-resistant components used across the mining and industrial sectors.
This position offers a four-day working week, providing a long weekend every week.
About the Role
Working as part of a small, supportive team, you will be involved in all aspects of the production process, including material preparation, mould maintenance, product finishing, and general workshop duties. A strong focus on safety, quality, and attention to detail is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day production and manufacturing activities
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Support mould preparation, product forming, trimming and finishing processes
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Conduct quality checks on finished products
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
- Assist with material handling and general workshop tasks
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, factory, workshop, or production environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
- A consistent and reliable work history
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong safety awareness and safe work practices
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling tasks
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and urine drug & alcohol test
