Are you an experienced Trade Qualified Fitter with leadership skills? We are seeking a Team Leader to join a well-established mining manufacturing company in Pinkenba, QLD. This casual role offers a pathway to full-time employment, a competitive $55.90 per hour, and a chance to lead a skilled team in a dynamic work environment.

About the Role:

As a Fitter Team Leader, you will oversee a small team, ensuring smooth daily operations while maintaining high safety and quality standards. You will be hands-on in maintenance and repair work while leading and mentoring your team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support a team of fitters, ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and installations on heavy machinery and mining equipment.
• Diagnose faults, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and implement solutions.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Maintain compliance with workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
• Operate a forklift when required (Forklift license essential).

What We’re Looking For:

• Trade-qualified Fitter with proven experience in a leadership role.
• Background in the mining manufacturing industry or a similar heavy industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in troubleshooting and repairs.
• Ability to work autonomously and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Forklift license (essential).
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Have good Computer literacy.

• Must pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
