Trade Boilermakers / Welders – $60 / hr – Site Work

Accurate Recruitment is looking for an exceptionally skilled, confident Stick Welders for high-specification structural and field fabrication work.

Operating from our client’s Geebung depot, you will travel out to site near Ipswich to perform critical structural welds. This position demands a high level of technical competency, particularly with positional stick welding under field conditions where structural integrity is paramount.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality, defect-free structural stick welding on-site.
• Execute flawless Vertical Up and Down Hand welds using 3.2mm electrodes.
• Read, interpret, and execute welds autonomously from engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Conduct field modifications, structural steel installations, and heavy gouging or cutting where required.
• Maintain strict adherence to site safety protocols and structural welding codes (AS1554.1).

What We Are Looking For

• Expertise: Confident, proven proficiency in positional stick welding (MMAW)—specifically Vertical Up and Down Hand using 3.2mm rods.
• Site Ready: Valid Construction White Card and solid experience working in demanding site environments.
• Logistics: Ability to arrive at the Geebung yard on time daily, ready to travel with the crew
• Expected start time is 6.00am and return time 5.00pm
• Tools & Gear: Must have your own high-quality welding helmet, standard hand tools, and full site-compliant PPE.
• Compliance: Full unrestricted Australian working rights and the ability to pass a weld test if required by the client.
