Trade Fitters (Assembly) – Day Shift | Pinkenba

We’re looking for Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitters to join a well-known heavy engineering company based in Pinkenba.

This is a great opportunity to work on the assembly and reconditioning of industrial gearboxes used in mining and other large-scale industries. If you’re hands-on, reliable, and take pride in quality work, this could be the perfect fit for you.

What’s on offer:

• $51.40 p/h Day shift 5:30am – 2:00pm

About the role:

• Assemble and recondition heavy-duty gearboxes
• Follow detailed instructions and engineering drawings
• Use precision tools like torque wrenches and micrometers
• Maintain correct alignments, tolerances, and oil sealing
• Work as part of a small, supportive team
• Keep your work area clean and safe

What you’ll need:

• Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering (Fitting & Turning)
• Good mechanical knowledge and attention to detail
• Forklift ticket ESSENTIAL
• Experience operating overhead cranes safely
• Dogger or rigger licence (preferred)
• Able to work safely and follow procedures
• Have experience with measuring (inside and outside micrometres).
• Have some experience with stripping of components and assessing.
• Reliable transport to get to site on time
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test
